A Japan trip from Mexico is not decided by airfare alone. Route, domestic transport and pace reshape the budget. Wandernow offers two approaches: Traditional Japan, a nine-day cultural journey, and an eleven-day walking route through the Japanese Alps and Nakasendo.
The cultural journey price
- Single payment: $4,720.00 US dollars per person.
- Instalment plan: $5,130.00 US dollars; $1,000.00 US dollars deposit plus up to 10 deferred payments.
- Accommodation, intercity trains and the experiences listed on the trip page are included.
- International flights and local urban transport are separate.
Finding the right flight
Start with the itinerary's actual arrival airport and compare a return ticket against an open-jaw route. Check luggage, total journey time and transit rules before buying. Airfares vary too widely for a fixed promise; the useful number is the final total matching your confirmed dates.
Traditional Japan or Japan on Foot
- Traditional Japan prioritises Tokyo, Kyoto, Mount Fuji, food and city experiences.
- Japan on Foot centres on Kamikochi, Norikura, Shirakawa-go and historic trails.
- The walking route lasts 11 days and costs $4,729.00 US dollars single payment or $5,140.00 US dollars deferred.
- Choose breadth for a first visit, or Nakasendo for mountains and old post towns.
Documents and daily spending
Always confirm current entry requirements for your passport before paying for non-refundable services. Add unspecified meals, urban transport, insurance, mobile data and personal purchases to the budget.
