The Caucasus is not one destination. Azerbaijan faces the Caspian, Georgia connects mountains and wine culture, and Armenia holds a landscape of stone monasteries and ancient memory. Twenty-one days make room to understand the differences rather than rush through three capitals.
Part one: Azerbaijan
The route begins in Baku, between the walled old city and contemporary architecture. Gobustan and the mud volcanoes reveal a different landscape before Sheki and the transition into Georgia.
Part two: Georgia
Tbilisi is the hub, but the journey gains depth beyond it: Mtskheta, Kakheti, Kazbegi and Svaneti connect monasteries, wine, mountain roads and medieval towers.
Part three: Armenia
Yerevan opens the final section. Garni, Geghard, Lake Sevan and Tatev reveal Armenia's relationship with stone, religion and terrain. The Wings of Tatev cableway closes the southern route.
Borders and documents
The Armenia–Azerbaijan land border is not part of this route: the sequence passes through Georgia. Border and visa rules can change, so every traveler must verify current requirements for their nationality before buying flights.
