Australia runs on electronic visas. For tourism the usual one is the Visitor visa subclass 600, applied for online through ImmiAccount and delivered by email: nothing is stamped in your passport.
What you need
- Passport valid for the whole trip.
- ImmiAccount and the online form.
- Itinerary and travel bookings.
- Financial statements from the last three months.
- Letter of purpose and ties to your home country.
Timing
Approvals usually take two to six weeks, sometimes faster. Apply at least two months before departure and never buy domestic flights before approval.
Avoiding a refusal
The decisive point is showing you will return: employment, studies, property or family. Keep declarations and documents consistent, and avoid vague itineraries.
