PAPERWORK

Do I need a visa to travel with Wandernow?

Which destinations need a visa, which only an online permit, and where we step in.

3 min read

Visas are every traveler's first worry and rarely as complex as they look. Short version: most of our destinations open with an electronic authorisation filed in minutes, and only a handful require a formal process.

Electronic authorisation

Türkiye, Australia and New Zealand run on online permits (e-Visa, ETA, NZeTA). You complete them on your phone, they cost little and are approved within hours or a few days.

Visa on arrival

Nepal issues yours at Kathmandu airport with a photo, a form and cash. We send the exact checklist before your flight.

Formal process

China is the most demanding: appointment, long form, itinerary and bookings. You are not alone here — we prepare the travel letter, stamped itinerary and accommodation proofs the consulate asks for.

Europe

Many passports need no Schengen visa for short stays, but will need the ETIAS permit once it goes live. We have a dedicated article on it.

What we handle

  • Check your passport validity and official requirements well in advance.
  • We supply letters, itineraries and proofs requested by consulates.
  • We warn you months ahead when a destination requires an appointment.
